Hi! My name is Heidi

I am the Owner, Operator and Organizer for DeclutterNest.

So let me tell you a little about how DeclutterNest, a Professional Home Organization Service, started.

I am by trade a Registered Nurse for 20 years. Caring for people and helping to make them better and comfortable have been my heart and soul for many years. Well to be transparent, the Covid Pandemic hit, and the healthcare world looked very different. After 2 years of working lots of overtime during the Covid Pandemic, as a Director/Area Executive of Clinical Operations, as well as a frontline responder nurse, I was exhausted, my work/family life balance was no longer there. I had to make the hard decision to walk away from healthcare for a bit and take back my life priorities.….my family and my own health.

During the last year away from healthcare I was able to be a full-on mom again, a true partner for my husband, and “I am always there for you” to my friends again!

I also had the time to get my much neglected, out of control mess of a Nest (my home) back in order. I tackled every room in my house and created productive and practical spaces by organizing and decluttering. It didn’t take long, as friends visited, they noticed! Friends then started asking for my help with their homes and offices.

I realized then that my passion for helping others was not just in nursing, it was in helping improve lives through organization in their homes as well. After praying and having a very supportive husband, I began my journey in becoming a certified professional organizer and started my own Professional Organizing Business.

While I have stepped back into nursing part-time (I couldn’t completely let that passion go) I am excited to care for others by helping get their homes organized and functional.
